2A Boys Basketball State Tournament: Second Half Surge Helps Wind River Get Past Upton
The first half was close, the second half wasn't.
Wind River outscored Upton 24-10 in the 3rd quarter, to break a 34-all halftime tie, and cruised to a 78-60 win, in the first round of the 2A Basketball State Tournament.
Jayin and Jarick Trumble and Taylor Tidzump combined for 60 of the Cougars' 78 points (21-21-18).
Jayin also had 13 rebounds and his team shot 59% from the field.
Payton Watt (16) and Dillon Barritt (12) were the leading scorers for the Bobcats, who shot 36.8%.
