Offense wins games, defense wins championships.

Hanging on to a 3 point lead going into the 4th quarter, the Kelly Walsh defense held Rock Springs to 4 points, and pulled away 62-49, to claim their first state championship since 1981.

The Trojans shot 52% for the game, compared to 39% for the Tigers.

KW also did a better job of scoring off of turnovers, 17-4.

Sam Marsh (KW) led the way scoring wise with 18 points, followed by Jaxon Hiatt who had a double-double (16 points, 12 rebounds) and Cameron Carter with 14 points.

Leading scorers for the Tigers were Kelby Kramer with 18 points and Trevor Hautala with 13.
