Big Horn's senior QB picked up right where he left off left year, as the Rams racked up 400+ yards of total offense before halftime.

You want to know what progress is? I showed this guy last year...Michael Lamb...he has 2 prosthetic legs and no left hand...this year...he's doing kickoffs...and playing some defense as well.

Greybull at #1 Big Horn to start the season...first quarter...Big Horn wearing the maroon...here's Connor McCafferty...yeah he's back...look out! First play from scrimmage, and he's going to pickup 45 yards on this run, into enemy territory...you're going to see a lot from him, in this game...and he's just getting started.

A few plays later...he'd finish the job himself...finds the hole in the middle...gets a key block and he has an open path...21 yards to the end zone...that's a good way to start a game...Rams lead 7-to-nothing.

Next possession...the home team would return a punt past midfield...McCafferty is looking to throw...has to avoid the pressure...then check this out...2 open receivers in the end zone...Deven Ibach would make the grab for a 30 yard score...and Big Horn was taking command of this game early..leading 14-zip.

The one problem they had was fielding punts...and Greybull caught a couple of breaks as a result...Calder Forcella will elude one pursuer...then he'll put up a high floater...watch the grab by Paul Stewart...20 yards on the toss...and points on the board for the visitors...who now trail 14-to-7.

The opposition did not take long to answer back...McCafferty again...rolls to his right...this one was a little risky, but he had faith that Christian Mayer would adjust to the ball on a 31 yard strike...he's got it...Rams score to increase their advantage to 21-to-7.

The Buffalos would hang around in the first half...this play was too easy for Forcella as he would get 1 yard and 6 points with ease...nothing to it...PAT no good, so his team is still down 21-13, after the first 12 minutes.

2nd quarter...it looked like McCafferty almost was not ready for the snap...but he got it...no receivers are open, so he'll have to take matters into his own hands...takes a hit...reaches across...and ref said yes on the 10 yard scramble...hope you've been counting...that's TD number 4 for the senior...Big Horn leads 27-13.

How about a little defense...Forcella hit the brakes because he saw Colter Carzoli coming...he looked like he had that deer in the headlights look, and now he's lunch...but that did not kill the drive...another fumbled punt would keep the visitors in business for a little bit longer.

Greybull would cash in on the miscue...here's Stewart again...keeping it on the ground and he'll bust his way in on a 5 yard run...conversion no good again, but they are within striking distance trailing by a score of 27-to-19.

That was as close as it would get...because guess who got back to work again...McCafferty...one more time...he'll hit Mayer on the far side and the junior is going to take care of the rest on this 49 yard play...the Rams racked up 400 yards plus total offense in the first half alone...now they're ahead by a score of 34-to-19.

...and they were not done...Carzoli will get in on the offensive act...5 yards...and he did not have that trouble with it...Big Horn was in great shape as they were ahead, 41-to-19 going into halftime.

3rd quarter...the visitors still had some fight left in them...Forcella is looking to make something happen...he's going to throw the high fade for Kason Cutter who will fade it back in, on a 5 yard score for Greybull...offensively they did all right...now they trail 41-to-25.

But now the home team was getting the second stringers in...and there's another McCafferty...here's Nolan...a freshman...busting his way through for 2 yards...and his first score of the season...now it's a 48-to-25 contest.

Now at the beginning of these highlights...I said Lamb played some defense as well...and here's an example...he almost got a hand on Forcella...but the pressure was just enough that the QB was off of his game plan...not a good throw here...Mayer comes up with the interception, and his team would once again set up shop in enemy territory.

4th quarter...no change in score...Max Lube is under center for Big Horn...he put wayyy too much on that throw and Forcella will redeem himself with a pick of his own...he had a decent day on both sides of the ball himself, but he was not getting enough help to make a difference on the scoreboard.

However he needs to do better at throwing under pressure...he's scrambling...looking...and did not put enough on that throw to reach the target...Mason Lube comes up with the turnover to kill that drive, and give the ball back to the home team.

Big Horn would march down and finish...Nolan McCafferty on a 10 yard run...and he would get his second score, to impress his big brother...the Rams...would start the season big over Greybull in the end...55-to-25.
