There is very little change in the boys or girls rankings this week.

Matter of fact, 1A and 2A are the exact same as a week ago, 1A being Little Snake River unanimous, followed by Burlington, Midwest, Ten Sleep and Encampment. 2A has Wind River still on top with 12 of the 15 votes. Lovell received a couple and is second, Burns got a #1 ballot and ranks third again followed by Greybull and Wyoming Indian.
3A and 4A have minor changes. Wheatland and Buffalo swap spots in 3A at 4 and 5 behind Lander, Powell and Torrington.  Gillette’s win over Evanston in Green River puts the Camels second the Red Devils third. Sheridan is still #1 with East and Riverton going 4 and 5.

The final girls basketball poll of the year doesn’t have a whole lot of change either. Six teams are ranked in 1A. After Little Snake River and Burlington, Guernsey and Cokeville tie for third while Meeteetse and Farson tie for fifth, but the Lady Longhorns just beat Farson last weekend in Shoshoni.

2A continues with Lovell, Tongue River, and Pine Bluffs 1-2-3 with Wyoming Indian now four after their win at home over now #5 Big Horn last week..

3A shakes teams up a bit. Torrington is now 2nd behind Douglas with Star Valley jumping to third after taking down 4A teams in the Flaming Gorge invite. Wheatland is fourth with Cody dropping to fifth.

4A is the same as a week ago with Natrona on top followed by Sheridan, Gillette, Laramie and Cheyenne East.

The next poll will be released on Wednesday, January 11th, 2012
