One poll has a new number 1, and all 4 top ranked teams play ranked opponents this Friday!

Rock Springs has climbed to the top of the rock in Class 4A...now the trick is staying there. The Tigers host #5 Natrona and unranked Riverton this weekend. Gillette slips to #2 after their surprise loss to Laramie, and a huge challenge awaits them this Thursday, at #3 Sheridan. This a great chance for the Broncs to strike. Evanston moves up to #4, and hosts Star Valley on Friday, in their only game this week. As mentioned earlier, 5th ranked Natrona is at #1 Rock Springs, on Friday, then at Green River on Saturday.

Once again, the 3A poll is ruled by 5 East teams. Buffalo is still the unanimous #1. The Bison only play once this weekend, at #4 Douglas on Friday. The poll was already closed, before word got out that #3 Torrington won at #2 Wheatland, so the Trailblazers will have to wait until next week to move up. The Bulldogs play Saturday at home vs. Thermopolis, while Torrington is home vs. Glenrock, and at South. Douglas is back in the polls, this time at #4. The Bearcats are preparing for Friday's clash at home vs. #1 Buffalo, and then head over to Alliance, NE on Saturday. Rawlins is down to #5, after a not-so-great week, last week. The Outlaws are at Thermopolis and home vs. Newcastle this weekend.

It's still a tight race for the top 2 poll spots in 2A, but Lovell remains at #1. The Bulldogs play 3 big games this week, starting Thursday at home vs. Rocky Mountain, then Friday at #4 Wyoming Indian, and then Saturday at home vs. 3A Powell. The undefeated Rams from Big Horn are still #2. They play home vs. Riverside and at Rocky Mountain this weekend. Kemmerer is the unanimous choice at #3. They only have a Saturday game, at 3A Lyman to worry about this week. Wyoming Indian remains at #4, and the Chiefs are probably looking forward to their rematch at home vs. the top ranked Bulldogs this Friday. Saratoga visits Ethete on Saturday. Lusk is back in the polls at #5. The Tigers play at Southeast, then home vs. Burns.

We'll find out who the best team in small school Carbon County is on Friday...and perhaps in Class 1A. #3 H.E.M. hasn't played a ranked opponent all season, but that will change, when they visit Baggs to play #1 Little Snake River. Afterwards, the Rattlers (unanimous #1) visit Encampment, while the Miners host Midwest. #2 St. Stephens has northwest conference matters to attend to this weekend. First at Dubois, and then they visit Burlington, who might be on the right road to recovery, after a bad start to the season. Winning a re-match of last year's 1A title game would do wonders for either side. Kaycee is up to #4, and the Buckaroos play Thursday and Friday this weekend...at Normative Services and home vs. Arvada-Clearmont. Ten Sleep gets bumped down to #5. The Pioneers only play on Thursday at home vs. Burlington, and have to forfeit Friday's game vs. Rock River, due to having too many games on the schedule.
