There is a new #1 in the third edition of the Wyopreps.com Coaches and Media Poll.

Gillette, Rock Springs and Natrona all beat each other in Gillette last weekend. That makes Sheridan the new top team in 4A. The Broncs took 15 of the 18 #1 votes. Evanston is now two, Gillette third followed by East and Riverton. Natrona got 2 #1 votes but was not included in  the top five. All of the 4A top 5 teams will be in Green River this weekend for the Flaming Gorge Invite, but the only ranked matchup, has #3 Gillette vs. #2 Evanston on Friday.

Lander got 18 of 22 #1 votes in 3A and rank at the top again this week. Powell moves into the #2 spot after Torrington’s loss at 4A Riverton. The Trailblazers are third followed by Buffalo and Wheatland. #1, #3 and #5 will all be in Douglas this weekend at the East-West Invite, along with the host Bearcats, Rawlins, Lyman, Cody and Worland. Wheatland and Lander do not hook up, but #3 Torrington vs. #1 Lander is scheduled for Saturday morning. All 3 of Worland's games (Wheatland, Rawlins, Torrington) will count as conference games. Meanwhile #2 Powell visits #2 2A Lovell on Thursday, and then play at #4 Buffalo on Saturday night.

2A keeps Wind River at the top followed now by Lovell at #2.  Burns is third, Greybull fourth,  Wyoming Indian is bounced to 5 with and oh and 3 record. There's only 1 game of interest this weekend, and that is on Thursday, when #2 Lovell hosts #2 3A Powell.

1A has Snake River is a unanimous #1 for a third straight week. The Rattlers are 6-0 and all of their wins are against Colorado teams...plus they have 2 more this week. Kaycee drops from the rankings which makes way for Encampment as the Tigers debut at #5. Burlington, Midwest and Ten Sleep occupy spots 2, 3, and 4. Like 2A, not much is going on this weekend for ranked teams.
