The regular season is halfway over, after this week.
Entering the 4th week and midway point of the season, and there are 2 matchups of undefeated vs. undefeated on the schedule, including a #2 vs. #1 clash, plus there's 1 new #1 in latest coaches/media rankings.
Several streaks came to a crashing halt this week.
The weather is starting to cool off and become more football-like, but the action on this weekend's schedule is starting to heat up, and the latest coaches/media rankings should add some more fuel to the fire.
Week 2 was a weird week, with 4 games ending with the exact same final score of 55-0, 2 #3's got beat, the top 4 teams in 6-man played each other resulting in 1 very high scoring, and 1 very low scoring game, 1 team has yet to play a game, and a few new contenders have emerged.
With the exception of 3A, all conferences have or will start conference play this week.
Teams try to improve each week throughout the season, and week 2 is the time to do that.
As in past years, the weather tried to wreck havoc on week 1 games, but all teams prevailed!
It feels more like football season, now that there's a full schedule of games!
