Members of the Wyoming Coaches Association have voted on which 2A/1A girls basketball players they believe are the best in the East and West.
Half of the state championship trophies have been awarded, and the remaining trophies await.
The best 2A and 1A Girls Basketball Teams have worked their way to Casper...and won't have to play elsewhere.
This is the time to find out which teams are worthy to go to Casper to compete for the state championship, and which ones are not.
That time of the season has come, where the coaches/media rankings no longer matter, and the teams will ultimately decide which is really #1.
Teams are always taught to take things one game at a time, and there's no truer statement when the post-season arrives.
The regional tournaments are an opportunity for teams to prove that they are state championship contenders, regardless of their record in the regular season.
While the post-season has started for the smaller classes, the bigger classes have one more week to prepare.
With the regular season about to end or already has ended in some cases, movement within the coaches/media rankings has slowed, because most of the top 5 teams have established themselves for most of the season.
