Central Jumps On East Early And Cruises To A Win [VIDEO]

The Indians blitzed the Thunderbirds with 3 goals in the first 9 minutes, and that's all they needed.

Most of us know that's the landing pad for the pole vault...but to a child...it's just another soft thing to run, jump and climb on. Who can blame them?

#3 Cheyenne Central at Cheyenne East...first half...Central wearing the red...Hayden Humphrey with a free kick just 2 minutes into the game and the lefty will set things right...that did not take long, and the score is 1-to-nothing.

...about 5 minutes later...the Indians were on the war path again...Tayton Montgomery with the initial shot...pretty good save by Dalton Haas, but the rebound went right to Sawyer Ruben, who had a wide open shot and easily cashed in...we got confused at first because we thought Montgomery got the goal...that was our fault...but the score is now 2-zip.

2 minutes after that...here comes Humphrey again...this time he'll stay on the ground...and zip one right past Haas...3 goals in the first 9 minutes for the visitors...and it was a 3-nil game going into halftime.

Second half...not much happened...except for this...Anthony Barnes will try to get East on the scoreboard...he got denied by the cross-bar...Central thought the ball hit the football goal post, which is out of bounds...but that was not the case...and Finley McIlwaine would knock in the rebound for the Thunderbirds...but they were still 2 goals short and would fall to their cross-town rivals...3-to-1.
