Highlights of the Saturday, September 28th, 1A Football Game, between #1 Cokeville at #5 Lingle-Ft. Laramie.

Scroll down to watch highlights of the game.

A 440 mile road trip had no effect on the Panthers, as they would spoil the Doggers' homecoming and shut them out in the process.

There was a variety of ways that players and fans traveled to get to this game...some took a red corvette...others came in on horseback...the only thing we were missing is the parachutist!

#1 Cokeville at #5 Lingle-Ft. Laramie...first quarter...Lingle-Ft. Laramie wearing the dark blue...and they would reach into their bag of tricks on the opening kickoff with the onside try...Dallen Fleenor recovers for his team...but that was one of the few things that went right.

Once Cokeville got possession...they would show their opponents how to finish the job...James Teichert would get some good blocking and he will spring loose for 24 yards and a score, plus 2...as the visitors would strike first and lead 8-to-nothing.

On the next possession...they were at it again...4th and goal at the 4...Jace Petersen with a great fake...he'll roll out and find Jonathan Fiscus who has his defender beat...the Panthers were pouncing early and led 15-to-zip after the first 12 minutes.

2nd quarter...the Doggers would fumble deep in their own territory...and the visitors knew what to do...Petersen with a 1 yard sneak...he's #12...he's in that pile somewhere...the score would go up to 23-to-nothing after another 2 point conversion.

The home team had their chances...and the opposition gave them a couple, on miscues like this...Lingle-Ft. Laramie would set up shop inside the red zone twice...but came away empty handed both times...it was still 23-zip going into halftime.

3rd quarter...These 2 teams are about 440 miles apart from each other...and Cokeville did not mind the road trip one bit...there goes Teichert again...44 yards and I don't think anyone touched him...homecoming was not going well for Lingle...they trailed 30-to-zero going into the final 12 minutes.

4th quarter...if you think these highlights are all Cokeville...well...that's because the game was all Cokeville...the defense was not fooled on the fake punt try...Coach Todd Dayton had his boys ready.

...and the visitors made sure the varsity guys got a little 4th quarter time...Braxton Delgado will head to the promised land on a 36 yard run...the JV's would take over from there...the Panthers might be making more trips to eastern Wyoming in the future...after they shutout Lingle-Ft. Laramie in this one...37-to-zip.
