I think people are hanging a lot of creadence on McManamen. He is one of the best players in the state so he deserves a little respect. I don’t know what else they have though. I can’t see Lyman contending…. I know they have everyone back but Lookng at Powell and Lander I am not sure how they will guard the big fellas, let alone simpson and cragoe??? Maybe I am overlooking something though.

I disagree slightly, Lander, Powell, Lyman, and Star Valley are contenders in the West. The West is much stronger due to their best teams from the previous year lost few seniors and are much better this year. Wheatland is the only definite contender in the East, Torrington shouldn’t be ranked so high after losing 2 of their big 3 from last year.

3A East vs. 3A West…the score is 6-6. Games vs. Riverton were not counted since that’s a 4A team. Not including Worland vs. Douglas since Worland is now an east team.

After this weekend 3A west seems to be stronger than 3A east. Torrington is still a question mark because they played in the neighbor’s yard. Teams to beat seem to be Lander, Powell and maybe Star Valley.

Glenrock adds an interesting element to the East. Two great Transfers in the Milay boys. They made the Herders a whole lot better in both Football and Basketball. I still am skeptical about their ability to compete with the big dogs like Star Valley, Powell, Lander, Torrington, and Wheatland. Who knows maybe I am way off!

I watched Glenrock play this weekend and they are a very talented and well-coached team! They have good guards which are both freshman(Tyler Olsen and Jordan Millay). Also glerock has a big man Taylor Millay that is one of the best in the state. Watch out for the Herders this March in the state tournament!!

I can agree with your picks. owever I am not sure about Star Valley? They were a 4A team last year so I just don’t know much about them. It is always hard to guage a team’s play by how they compete against out of state oopponents. Didn’t they lose their big players from last year???????
