Cheyenne East pulled away from a pesky Laramie team on Friday night to secure a spot in the 4A Girls championship game against Gillette with a 58-51 victory at the Casper Events Center.

Laramie outplayed East in the 3rd quarter, outscoring the T-Birds by 10 in the stanza.

But East responded with a 18-10 advantage in the 4th to put the game away.

Katie Loken led Cheyenne East with 18 points on 7-15 from the field. Jessie Erickson and Sierra Stellern added 10 each.

Laramie was led in scoring by Kadelyn Setright with 12. Lexi Pulley chipped in 11 for the Plainsmen.

Cheyenne East at 20-4 will meet Gillette in the 4A title game on Saturday night at the Events Center.

Laramie will play Natrona for 3rd place on Saturday morning.
