The Encampment Lady Tigers came out of a tough 1A Southwest Conference and prevailed over defending champion St. Stephens in overtime 59-50 to win the State Championship at the Casper Events Center on Saturday.

Encampment outscored St. Stephens by 10 in the 3rd quarter and by 9 in overtime to finish the season 19-7.

The Tigers were led by Noelle Peterson who had 26 points and 13 rebounds.

Paige Powell had a fabulous game with 18 points and 17 boards.

St. Stephens had to play with star player Trinity Goggles in foul trouble and she fouled out late in the 3rd quarter.

The Eagles received 13 points from Angel Redman and 11 from Martina Brown.

They finish the season with a record of 17-5.
