Another honor has been given to an Evanston High School graduate...and the season hasn't even started yet.

Erin Kirby, who will be starting her senior season on the University of Wyoming Volleyball Team, was named to the pre-season Mountain West Conference all-conference team, ahead of the 2014 season.

Kirby is a 3-time All Mountain West Conference selection.

In 2013, she led the MWC in blocking and was 2nd in the nation, in that category, averaging 1.77 per set.

Going into the 2014 season, she is leader in for the Cowgirls in hitting percentage at .331, and is 2nd all-time in career blocks with .573, which is also 8th all-time in MWC history.

In 2013, she set the UW single season block record with 225, breaking her own record of 204, set the year before.

Kirby has been named MWC Player of the Week 3 times.

She was a 2-time all-state selection at Evanston High School, and was named 4A Player of the Year in 2009, after leading the Lady Red Devils to a state runner-up finish that year.
