Entering the last week of the regular season, there's one new #1...but more importantly, a few playoff spots and seeds still need to be locked down.

It's the unanimous #1 vs. the unanimous #2, to determine who is the #1 team in 4A this weekend, when Gillette visits Cheyenne East. Natrona moves up to #3 after their road upset of now #4 Sheridan...which also bumped Kelly Walsh, down to #5. However the Trojans still how the inside track for the #4 seed, which will most likely result in an Oil Bowl rematch in the first round.

No change in the 3A ranks. Powell got all but 1 #1 vote to hold the top spot. Douglas got the other. Star Valley is #3 and needs to beat rival Jackson to secure a first round home game. #5 Riverton has to do the same on Thursday at arch-rival Lander. Meanwhile, #4 Cody has not yet locked up a spot...and if the Broncs lose to Worland, there's a danger that they might not make it, into the post-season.

The new #1 is in the 2A ranks...that's the Burns Broncs, who locked up the top seed in the East last week. Lovell slips to #2, but doesn't have much to worry about, since they already have the #1 seed in the west. #3 Big Horn will play at home in the first round, but their momentum would take a big hit, should they drop the Thunder Bowl vs. Tongue River. #4 Mountain View is already in, and just needs to win at Kemmerer to secure the west #2 seed. #5 Wheatland plays Thursday home vs. Newcastle. The loser travels to Lovell, while the winner is probably heading to the Bridger Valley.

In 1A...Lusk has won their last 6 games, by shutout, but it's still not enough to move the Tigers up to #1...and they have this week off to get ready for the playoffs, so it's unlikely that will change. Cokeville keeps the top ranking. It's a backyard brawl on Friday when #3 Southeast visits #5 Lingle-Ft. Laramie, as the winner gets to host a first round game. Rocky Mountain check in at #4, and already has their playoff spot locked up. Upton-Sundance falls out of the rankings, and if they lose home vs. Pine Bluffs...the Patriots are not going anywhere. Actually, the question is...who wants to win between PB and US...because the winner goes to Cokeville, for the playoffs.

Not much change in the 6-man rankings...but the bracket won't be ready until Saturday. Meeteetse, Dubois and Midwest are #1, #2, and #3 and have secured their places. The game of interest is on Saturday, when #4 Guernsey travels to #5 Kaycee. The winner gets the #2 seed in the east and a home game in the first round.
