Gillette Survives Evanston to Reach 4A Boys Championship
The Gillette boys took a big step towards their first state championship since 2014 as they defeated Evanston in the 4A Boys semi-finals at the Casper Events Center on Friday night 72-58. The Camels are 18-10 on the year and outscored the Red Devils by 9 in the first quarter and 10 in the 3rd quarter. Gatorade Player of the Year Trey Hladky led Gillette with 24 points while Dawson Miessler had 19. Evanston shot 44% from the field and were led by Braxton Hiatt with 16. Chandler Anderson threw in 12. The Red Devils at 20-5 on the year will play Kelly Walsh for 3rd place tomorrow. Gillette takes on Sheridan on Saturday night for the 4A Championship on Saturday night.
