Girls Basketball 4A/3A Regional Tournament Results 2016

This is the time to find out which teams are worthy to go to Casper to compete for the state championship, and which ones are not.

4A East at Cheyenne Central (Storey Gym):

Checking records vs. common opponents, Cheyenne East gets the #2 seed over Sheridan, because the Lady Thunderbirds beat Rock Springs, and the Lady Broncs did not.

#1 Gillette and #2 Cheyenne East receive a first round bye, and have automatically qualified for the state tournament.

Checking records vs. common opponents, Laramie loses the 3-way tie vs. Central and South and drops to the #6 seed, because the Lady Plainsmen have a loss vs. Evanston, whereas the Lady Indians and Lady Bison don't. Central then gets the #4 seed over South, due to having head-to-head sweep.

Thursday, March 3:

#4 Cheyenne Central 44 #5 Cheyenne South 37 - South Eliminated. Central qualifies for the state tournament.

#3 Sheridan 50 #6 Laramie 40 - Laramie Eliminated. Sheridan qualifies for the state tournament.

Friday, March 4:
