Some of the competition on the girls side, is starting to get just as interesting as the boys side.

Sheridan retains the #1 ranking in the 4A poll, depsite losing their first game, this past weekend. Laramie is now up to #2, after impressive wins last week at home vs. the Lady Broncs and Gillette. Speaking of the Lady Camels, they drop to #3, while Natrona moves up to #4, pushing Central to #5. Big games this weekend have #3 Gillette at #1 Sheridan on Thursday, while #5 Central visits #2 Laramie on Friday.

There's no debate over the top 3 teams in Class 3A, because it's all unanimous. Douglas, Mountain View and Cody in that order. Ever since dropping their first 2 games, Douglas has won 19 straight and hope to lock up the top seed in the east with a win Thursday at home vs. #4 Wheatland...a team that didn't drop in the rankings, depsite losing last week. Buffalo rounds out the poll at #5.

This is the last weekend of the regular season for 2A and 1A, and a huge 2A game will get the attention of the Wyopreps.com video crew on Thursday night. It's #1 Lovell at #2 Rocky Mountain. This should decide the #1 seed in the northwest, although Lovell has another conference game vs. Shoshoni on Saturday. It's possible a coin flip could happen as well. Tongue River impressed the voters with their win over Big Horn last week, and jump up to #3, and bump the Lady Rams to #4 and Wyoming Indian to #5. Then on Saturday, RM visits BH. The Lady Rams could look to avenge their first loss of the season from a few weeks ago.

Not much is scheduled in 1A either this weekend, because all the #1 seeds are locked up. Little Snake River is the unanimous #1, while Burlington moves up to #2. Kaycee's loss last week, bumps the Lady Bucs down to #3. Cokeville has to settle for #4, and Chugwater holds at #5.
