The first poll of 2011 is out, and there's 2 new #1's from the last poll of 2010.

In the 4A poll, the same teams are in the top 5, although in a different order. The 2 undefeateds are on top, that being Sheridan and Central. Gillette, Natrona and Laramie, round out the bottom 3 spots. NC is the one with the busy schedule this weekend. First the Fillies go to Gillette...a team they beat 1 month ago. After that they get Sheridan at home.

Douglas is the new #1 team in the 3A poll. Cody is #2, while former #1 Mountain View drops to #3. Buffalo falls to #4, while the team that beat them last week, Wheatland is #5. There's not much excitement going on this weekend, as the schedule does not have any games pitting ranked team vs. ranked team.

Only 1 minor change in the 2A poll. Rocky Mountain and Tongue River swap spots at #3 and #4, with the Lady Grizzlies now holding the higher spot. Lovell, Big Horn, and Pine Bluffs hold at #1, #2 and #5. Big Horn has to stay focused this weekend. On Friday, they get their first shot home vs. #4 TR. The arch-rivals from Dayton, delivered a big time beat down, at the state title game last year, as the perfect record for the Lady Rams, went up in flames. After Friday's game, BH will have a another tough test on Saturday at Kaycee.

Speaking of the Lady Bucs, they are the other new #1 team, and they are queens of the 1A poll, for now. As mentioned, Saturday's game vs. the Lady Rams should be a good one. LSR moves up to #2, while former #1 Cokeville, drops to #3. Burlington stays put at #4, and Encampment makes its first appearance in the poll at #5.
