A new team reaches #1 status, and 4A is about to start conference play with a big bang!

There's only a slight changeup in the 4A polls. Laramie takes the #4 spot away from Natrona, and bump the Fillies down to #5. Sheridan, Central and Gillette retain the top 3, but now the Lady Broncs are the unanimous #1. Going back to the Lady Plainsmen for a moment...they have quietly put together an 11-1 record so far, and this weekend is their big chance to prove if they should be ranked even higher. Laramie has Sheridan and Gillette, back-to-back, on the road this weekend. As for Central, they could get a challenge out of cross town rival East this Saturday. Perhaps the Lady Thunderbirds should be in the top 5???

No change in the 3A poll (Douglas, Cody, Mountain View, Buffalo, Wheatland), and not much is on the schedule this weekend, as far as ranked team vs. ranked team goes. The only game that may be interest, is a Tuesday game, when unranked Torrington, tries to take the #5 spot away from Wheatland.

It's still a tight race for the #1 and #2 spots in Class 2A...and Lovell still holds the top spot, barely over Big Horn (Lovell and BH boys are also #1 and #2). The Lady Bulldogs are home vs. #4 Tongue River this weekend. Rocky Mountain holds at #3, and Burns is now in the poll at #5. The Lady Broncs visit I-80 rival Pine Bluffs on Saturday, and the Lady Hornets are hoping to get that #5 spot back.

Little Snake River now holds the top spot in the girls 1A poll, bumping Kaycee down to #2. The same 2 teams have the same rankings on the boys side of things. Cokeville, Burlington and Encampment, stay at #3, #4 and #5. The big game this weekend is a Saturday test for Encampment, when they play at Cokeville.
