As teams head into the final weekend before the holiday break, there is very little change in girls rankings.

Sheridan, Douglas, Tongue River, and Cokeville remain number one with very little changes in any of the polls. In fact, there is only one new team in the poll.

In 4A, four teams got #1 votes. Sheridan got the most with 8 of the 14 top votes and ranks #1 gain. Natrona got four and moves up to second. Gillette and East also received #1 votes and rank 3 and 4. The Lady Thunderbirds fell to fourth despite going 3-0 and winning a tournament in Colorado, and beating Natrona in the previous week. Laramie remains #5.  Central, Evanston and Rock Springs also received votes. A big game features and inter-class battle between  #1 4A Sheridan and #2 3A Star Valley on Thursday at the Flaming Gorge Classic in Green River.

3A has Douglas 2 votes shy of unanimous at #1 Star Valley took those and rank #2. After the Lady Braves play #1 4A Sheridan, they'll take on #4 4A East and #5 4A Laramie for a tough weekend in Green River. Powell and Rawlins remain 3 and 4 with Lyman being the only team in the state new to the top five in any girls poll this week. The Lady Eagles rank fifth and play at #1 Douglas on Saturday.

2A keeps Tongue River on top. Lovell is 2nd again with Thermopolis still third. #2 Lovell plays #3 3A Powell tonight. Wind River moves up to fourth as Burns drops to fifth.  #4 Wind River is at #1 Tongue River this weekend in Dayton. That game is Saturday. Also on Saturday, #3 Thermopolis plays #5 1A Burlington.

1A has Upton moving up to third is the big news in 1A girls. Cokeville and Lingle-Fort Laramie stay at #1 and #2. The Lady Panthers took 9 of the 10 top votes with the Lady Doggers taking the other. Little Snake River is fourth with Burlington fifth. Rock River is unbeaten and the Lady Longhorns are just outside the top five this week.
