Girls Basketball Standings: February 24, 2013
4A and 3A are getting ready to start the playoffs, while only 8 teams remain in 2A and 1A each.
Here are the latest standings are of February 24th.
2A and 1A standings do include games played at regional tournaments.
4A East: (Conference record listed first, then overall record)
Sheridan 9-1, 20-2
East 8-2, 20-3
Gillette 7-3, 16-5
Laramie 4-6, 14-8
Central 2-8, 11-12
South 0-10, 4-19
4A West: (Conference record listed first, then overall record)
Natrona 10-0, 19-3
Rock Springs 6-4, 12-11
Kelly Walsh 6-4, 6-16
Evanston 5-5, 8-15
Riverton 2-8, 5-19
Green River 1-9, 4-19
Using head-to-head record vs. highest team in the conference not involved in the tie (or the next highest team, next highest, etc...) Rock Springs gets #2 seed over Kelly Walsh, because RS has head-to-head sweep over Evanston, whereas KW does not. RS and KW did play in December in Gillette, but that is not used in the tie-breaker, since it was at a neutral site and was a non-conference game.
3A East: (Conference Record listed first, then Overall Record)
Douglas 14-0, 23-0
Rawlins 12-2, 19-3
Torrington 8-6, 13-9
Buffalo 7-7, 14-9
Newcastle 7-7, 12-10
Wheatland 5-9, 7-13
Worland 2-12, 2-21
Glenrock 1-13, 5-17
It is irrelevant to break the tie between Buffalo and Newcastle, because they are going to play each other in the first round regardless.
3A West: (Conference Record listed first, then Overall Record)
Star Valley 13-1, 17-4
Lyman 11-3, 15-7
Powell 9-5, 16-5

Cody 7-7, 10-12
Lander 6-8, 9-12
Pinedale 2-12, 3-19
Mountain View 1-13, 2-20
UNOFFICIALLY: Using head-to-head record vs. highest team in the conference not involved in the tie (or the next highest team, next highest, etc...) Jackson gets #4 seed over Cody, because Jackson has a victory vs. Lyman, whereas Cody does not. It doesn't matter though, since Jackson and Cody are going play each other in the first round anyway.
