Golf Results Sept 8-10
Douglas Invite:
Cheyenne Centra's Girls beat Rawlins in a "Chip off" for the team title of the Douglas Invite. Dami Metzler of Central won the individual crown shooting an 89. Jessie Briscoe of Rawlins was 2nd. Ross Breedlove of Torrington was one stroke better then those in a three way tie for second on the boy's side. Buffalo won the team title on the boys side as well.
Casper Invite: Very much like a state 4A preview with ALL 4A teams invited. Sheridan's Kamrin Allen won yet another event shooting a 2 day 134 and winning by 14 strokes. Sheridan would win the boys team trophy as well. Gillette's Haley Shackelford also won another event. She went 162 for 2 days and won by 12 strokes. The Lady Camels also won the team title.
Jackson Invite: Like Casper, the Jackson invite was a pretty good peek at 3A's top teams. Lander won the team title but it was Jackson's Scooter Gill who took medalist honors on the boys side carding a two day 152. Jackson won the girl's trophy with Katy Estes winning the 36 hole event with a 192.
Elkhorn Ridge Golf Tournament: Hosted by Sundance-Hulett. There was a three way tie for the boys' team title. Sundance/Hulett, Lusk and Moorcroft all shot a 366. The boy's individual title went to Aaron Smith of Moorcroft with an 81.. Lusk won the girls title with a 304, 6 strokes ahead of Moorcroft. Elysha Stahla of Moorcroft won the ladies individual title.
