The season ended sooner than expected for the Pittsburgh Steelers, so a Greybull alumnus returned home to cheer on the team.

Brett Keisel (#99 for the Pittsburgh Steelers) is a 1997 Greybull HS Grad, who later played college football at BYU, and was drafted in the 7th round of the 2002 draft by the Steelers, where he plays as a defensive end, and helped Pittsburgh win 2 Super Bowls.

He started "Da Beard" trend in 2010, and annually he has sheared it off as part of a fundraiser.

He will shear the beard on February 5th, to benefit cancer programs at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. but there are probably more pressing concerns on his agenda, because his contract with the Steelers, is set to expire in March 2014.

During his high school days, he played football, basketball, and participated in track.

He helped the Buffs boys basketball team win its first state title in 1996.

During the weekend of January 10-11, 2014 (and maybe longer), he was back home in Greybull, watching his nephew Gabe, play for the Buffs JV team.

It just so happens, the wyopreps.com video crew was in Greybull, getting highlights of the Saturday, January 11th boys varsity game vs. Burlington.

We were able to get a couple of minutes of his time for an interview.

Keisel talked a little bit about his pro career and high school days.

We went easy on the questions, because we figured he gets a lot of that from the press in Pittsburgh.
