The Lady Broncs were able to withstand the Lady Tigers' comeback bid, and win for the second time in as many weeks.

Even the cold weather can not interrupt family time at a soccer game. Props to the dad for having a big enough blanket for everyone.

#2 Jackson at #1 Lander…first half…Jackson wearing the black…Charlotte Pierce only went about half-strength on this kick…but it was enough to get over the goalie and into the back of the net for the first score of the game…and that would get the visitors on the scoreboard first, leading 1-to-nothing.

Lander would try to answer on this corner kick play…things got a bit crowded in front of the net, as the opposition had trouble trying to clear out the ball…and Faith Hamlin had a hard time making a save…someone eventually got rid of the ball…but that was a could of, would of, and should of moment for both teams….and the game played on.

Back to the other side…the Lady Broncs put together another plan of attack…Jessica Freeze puts the ball right where Sally Watters wants it…and the senior combination paid off as the shot will find the far side of the goal net for another score…as Jackson would take a 2-nil lead going into halftime.

Second half…both teams now going in the opposite direction…the Lady Tigers were pressing their attack and almost got an assist on this highlight. Ella Welsh with a centering pass, but it’s cut off by Sara McCandless who almost knocked the ball into her own net. Good thing Hamlin was able to react fast enough, or else that would have been a disaster…speaking of which…wait until you see the boys game.

The home team was the better aggressor in the latter 40 minutes…and it payed off some…Amy Hulkovich was in the right place at the right time to knock in the loose ball, that goes off of Hamlin’s finger-tips…that was much needed, but unfortunately, Lander was unable to get another one. All 3 of their losses so far this season have come by the same score…as Jackson would get out of town with a 2-to-1 win.
