The Trojans collected a number of offensive rebounds, and used it to their advantage to avenge a loss vs. the Bison, from last season.

It's ok to bust a move when you're in the stands...seriously...maybe she was waiting for the right tune.

Number 2 Kelly Walsh at Cheyenne South...we got to this one late, so we'll pick it up in the third quarter...south wearing the white...down by 2...Adam Haberkorn will take care of that problem as he'll pull up and can jumper to tie this game up at 23-all

For Kelly Walsh...it was all about making the most of their second chances...No good on the 3 but Beecher Strube would use his 6-6 size to grab the offensive rebound...putback and gets the call...as the visitors would go back up 25-23.

The Trojans had the size advantage in this game...and they'd use it...Turner Hiatt...6-4 and was standing behind 2 defenders and made this play look easy...now he has his team ahead, 28-23.

The Bison tried to tighten up their defense...but that usually meant someone was open...in this case, it was Hiatt who will score again for KW, as they were holding off the opposition...30-to-26.

The home team was finding ways to deal with the height problem...this play could have gone either way...Shane Dilsaver gets the kiss off of the glass for 2, to put his team down by 2...it's 30-to-28.

KW was not worried...they just went back to work...no good on the 3...but another offensive rebound and put back...this time it was Talen Markovich...as the visitors would stay ahead, 32-to-28.

Defense and transition was making a few plays here and there...Marcus Nolan with the deflection...gets the turnover...drives...nice finish...give him 2...the Trojans were building momentum...now up 34-to-28.

...and again...more second chances...good effort by Drew Petrie as he'll split 2 defenders...but thankfully Nolan was there to clean up the mess and put things away...that would put the visitors up 36-to-30...but the Bison bounced back...Michael DeBruyn spots up for 3 and drains it, about 2 seconds ahead of the buzzer...South was still in this game, down 36-33 going into the final 8 minutes.

4th quarter...they kept fighting...DeBruyn to Ryan Fawcett who will score 2 of his 10 on this play...and now the home team was only down 1...the score is 36-35.

...but the opposition would not give up the lead...and as mentioned...it was all thanks to second chances...Ethan Applegate...he was the big scorer in this one...24 for the junior...and just wait...there's something big coming up...38-35 is the score.

They had other means of scoring...Petrie is actually one of the smaller guys on the floor, but he was making big 3's...the Trojans are now ahead, 41-35.

Here was the play of the game...they've been waiting for it...Kirk Durtsche draws in the D...gives the toast to Applegate who will apply the jam...his team was feeling it, with a 45-to-36 advantage.

The lead was growing...this play was almost similar to the last one...not quite the same result, but Applegate did get another 2...the advantage is in double digits...visitors now lead 47-to-36.

South gave it a good effort, but they faded in the end...we'll give the last highlight to Fawcett...in the end...Kelly Walsh would cap off a 3-and-oh weekend to start the season...winning 52-to-43.
