A Casper High School Coach is being immortalized by his college Alma Mater.

Natrona County High School Football Coach Steve Harshman, will be inducted into the Black Hills State University Yellowjacket Hall of Fame on Friday, September 21st.

Harshman played center for the BHSU football team and started in every game of his college career in the mid 80's.

During that time he was named offensive line most valuable player three times, and was a two-time all-conference center.

He says it was during his playing days, when the program started to turn the corner, after years of futility.

"Took all the hard knocks and all of that, but we worked through it. A lot of us, we were young and just kind of stuck with it, and like I say, great group of coaches and we just all hung together, and over time we kind of had a pretty good outfit. Our last year, we were 8-2 which is I think still one of the best, it is the best year i think in their school's history."

The Oil Bowl Football game in Casper, between Natrona and Kelly Walsh High Schools, was pushed back one day to Saturday, in order to accommodate the induction ceremony.
