(wyopreps.com) The State High School Finals rodeo concluded Sunday at the State Fairgrounds in Douglas. Jordan Thurston brought home some serious hardware. The Lusk freshman was named the girls season all around and rookie cowgirl of the year. She also won the goat tying and left her first year of high school rodeo with three saddles and several belt buckles and will take the top spot in the goats to nationals next month.
The boys Season All Around winner was Seth Glause of Rock Springs. The Rookie Cowboy award went to Jake James of Daniel. The top four finishers for the year will compete at Nationals in Springfield, Illinois, next month.
