(wyopreps.com) 3A Golf in Wyoming has come to a close and the Lander boys and Cody girls are state champions! The Cody team made up of Afton Balling, Brandi Holmes, Cassie Butler, Danielle Skinner, and Tia Brown shot a total 582. Lander was in a distant second at 630, and Torrington finished third at 654. Inidvidually, state champion Afton Balling of Cody shot scores of 93 and 88 for a two day total of 181 to lead the field. Bri Sweeny of Worland was second with a 197 and Rachel Kramer of Buffalo had a 199 for third place.
The Tigers team of Chad Sawyer, Eric Ragan, Mark Sanders, Patrick McCowan, and Seth Rohrbacher finished with a team score of 660. Jackson was second at 678 and Cody third at 689. Cody's Clinton Boutelle lead the pack individually with days of 71 and 74 for a two day score of 145. Jackson teammates Eddie Stewart and Stevie Lajohn shot 157 each to tie for second place.
