Sundance all-star Cody Emrick has signed his letter of intent to play basketball for Central Wyoming College in Riverton.
Cody lettered all four years at Sundance in basketball and football. He was rookie of the year his freshman year, all conference for three years, all state for two years, and the northeast conference player of the year. He broke the scoring record at Sundance High School two years in a row as a junior and a senior. He will also participate as part of the North/South All-Star basketball game in July.
Emrick averaged just over 20 points per game his senior year, 6.7 assists, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.2 steals. He also shot a scorching 78% from the free throw line, 54% from the field and 42% from three point land.
Cody also ran track at Sundance where he is a two time state champion in the 800 and 1600, and was also a fourth of the winning 4X800 relay team.
Emrick is a member of the FCCLA and is an honor student, he also coaches elementary school basketball in his spare time.
Wind River's Lethaniel Peahora will join Emrick in the backcourt this fall having already signed.
