Regional Wrestling Tournaments are underway across the state.
4A East in Sheridan.....
No suprise here as Gillette is out in front with 179 points. East is a runner up with 90. Central is next with 81. Laramie and Riverton are close at 76.5 and 72.5. Sheridan is sixth at 55.
The Camels have 19 Wrestlers in the semi finals. The next closest is
In the West, Star Valley and Natrona are providing the race many thought they would see. The Braves hold a 1 point edge on the Mustangs after day one, 104 to 103.
Green River is next at 72 with Rock Springs at 67, Evanston 58, and Kelly Walsh 54.
Star Valley and Natrona each have 13 wrestlers in the semi finals coming Saturday morning.
3A Regionals
Powell is out in front of the 3A West with 55 points. Jackson is second with 34, Cody is third at 32. Worland stands at 27.5, Mountain View 22, Kemmerer 14.5 and Lovell 4.0.
In the East, Douglas has the lead with 66 points. Torrington is next at 53.5. Wheatland is third at 44.5. Lander is a distant fourth, a point and a half ahead of Buffalo's 25.5. Rawlins, Newcastle, and Glenrock went 21.5, 20, and 19.5.
1A/2A Regionals
2A West in Thermopolis
Dubois leads the #1 ranked Cokeville Panthers in the 2A West. The Rams lead the Panthers by 4, 62.5 to 58.5. Thermop is a close third at 49. Rocky is fourth, Wind River fifth. Greybull/Riverside, Big Piney, Shoshoni, and Hanna follow.
In the East, Moorcroft and Lusk are battling at the top. Lusk leads, but, only by a single point at 133.5 to 132.5. Hulett is second at 120, Upton fourth at 106.5.
