Sheridan has a 5 run 7th inning to knock off Riverton in come from behind fashion.
The Riverton Raiders found what seemed like every way to lose in just two games. They got blown out in game one 14-1 and gave up 5 runs in the 7th to fall 10-9 to the Sheridan Troopers on Monday evening.
Riverton got a 2-run home run from Trevor Wilson in the first inning, his 15th of the year. Wilson hit an RBI single in the third inning and Doss Winter added a RBI double putting the Raiders up 4-1. Sheridan got a run in the top of the fourth to cut the lead in half.
Riverton got a 4 run fourth inning to respond however after loading the bases, Clark Mendes, Dallas Olsen, Derek Griffin, and Tyler Larsen all had RBI's putting Riverton up 8-2.
The Troop began the comeback in the 6th inning with a sac. fly and a wild pitch scoring two to cut it to 8-5.
Isaac Herman came on in relief of starter Franklin Asmundsen in the top of the 7th and suffered the loss allowing 5 runs in the inning from an RBI single, two bases loaded walks, and two defensive errors.
Riverton's Clark Mendes would get a single and reach second on a throwing error in the bottom of the 7th, then advance to third on a balk call, but a ground out to third base and a strikeout after that couldn't bring him home from third and the game went to Sheridan 10-9.
The Raiders are back in action Wednesday against Green River for "senior" night recognizing Trevor Wilson.
