Football Awards Handed Out In Casper

Football players at all levels met in Casper Tuesday to hand out some awards. A dozen high school athletes we're given 1,000 dollar scholarships. Names on the list included Ray Moore of Sundance, Justin Palm of Hanna elk Mountain, Jay Leininger of Burns, David Moats from Guernsey, Randall Haefele from Wright, Kray Lutz of Glnerock, Matt Sebade of Lander, Kyle Crandall of Evanston, Scot Boner of Douglas, Alex Stratton of East, and Matt Cook of Douglas.

Tongue River's Rob Johnson won the Gene benson Memorial Scholarship worth 1,000 dollars as well in the night. Evanston's Kyle Crandall, Ray Moore of Sundance, and Guernsey's Dave Moats we're finalists for the awards and given $500.

Some of the other awards handed out last night were for greatest high school football fan, they we're given to Jack Allen of Laramie and Slim Smith of Basin.

The football referee career achievement award was given to Mike Varney of Torrington, the coach achievement award went to Jerry Fullmer of Lusk, Scholar Athlete Courage award belonged to Jordon Cooney of Pine Bluffs High School and the Perserverance Award was awarded to Firdose Khan of Sheridan.
