Wintery conditions and poor travel cancelled a number of prep activities Thursday and Friday.
Rapid City was to go to Cheyenne Post 6 to play a double header Saturday. However, due to the severe winter storm that struck eastern Wyoming and South Dakota both teams called the action off.
Rapid City had over two feet of snow due to the storm and all three interstates in Wyoming were closed for some time Friday. Wind gusts up to 84mph were reported just outside of Cheyenne. There were a total of 12 power outages in Cheyenne Friday night including a trampoline blowing out of a yard into a power line and a poll being knocked over in downtown Cheyenne. Elswhere in the capital city roads were closed for a period of time due to large debris blocking the way.
No word yet if the game will be made up, WyoPreps will let you know as soon as we get the info!
