Cody Sweeps 3A West Regional Track

Cody's boys and girls have swept the field at the 3A West regional track meet in Worland.

The ladies posted a team score of 158 for the crown, Powell came in second at 99 and Jackson took the bronze at 93 points.

The men's side had Cody put up a score of 228.5 points to race past the field, Powell was over 90 points behind at 138 for second, and Pinedale took third with 82.

Multi Event Winners included Jackson's Brooke Rice. The Freshman won the 400, 800, 1600, and the 3200.

Cody's Cate Brus won both hurdle events, the high jump, and was on the winning 4 by 1 relay with Carlie Blankenship, Alisha Reaser and Sierra Jech. Jech then won the triple jump while Reaser won the 100 meters.

Pinedale's Kendra Williams won the shot put and the discus for the Wranglers.

For the boys, Lovell Senior Carson Hessenthaler won the 100 and the 200.

Cody's Tyler Riggle won the 1600 and 3200 meter races. He was on the winning 4 by 8 relay with Trevor Carpenter, Sean Rogers, and Ethan Slight. Cody won the other to relays with Slight, Kegan Lassister, Reed Gifford, Alex Gwinn, Landon Blanchard, and Matt Neddermeyer. Gifford and Lassiter were on both winning relays. Lassiter also won the 110 high hurdles. Gwinn won the pole vault while Neddermeyer won the long jump and the triple jump.
