It was a matchup of the last 2 2A Boys Basketball State Champs, and both played like it.

Pine Bluffs (27-1) went on a 15-5 run to start the second quarter, and held off several Wind River (23-5) comeback attempts, to win 73-to-68, claim their 2nd title in 3 years, and go undefeated vs. varsity opponents.

The other thing that helped PB, was that they went 17 of 18 from the free throw line for 94.4%.

The Hornets had 5 players score in double figures...Michael Shain (20 points), Haize Fornstrom (double-double...18 points 13 rebounds), Andrew Fornstrom and Justus Golding (11 points each), and Tucker Norman (10 points).

The Cougars had 3 players score in double figures...Dalton Finley (18 points), Jarrick Trumbull (13 points), and Ashley Addison (12 points).

WR only got to the charity stripe 8 times, going 50% in the process.
