After letting a big lead slip away, Powell managed to recover and hold off Worland, 42-to-39, in the first round of the state basketball tournament.

The Lady Panthers were ahead 12-2 after the first quarter, the Lady Warriors started chipping away at the deficit.

Worland was down 2 at halftime, and down 1 after 3 quarters.

4 3's is what kept them in the game, compared to none from Powell.

Aubrie Stenerson and Rachel Bonander were the leading scorers for the Lady Panthers with 16 and 14 points each.

McKenna Butte and Saige Jones kept the Lady Panthers alive with contributions of 12 and 10 points each.
