The turnout for the latest football rankings is the most in the history of Wyopreps taking over.   Nearly every class had a new high with the biggest response being 30 voters in class 3A.    With buffalo’s overtime win at Green River last week,  Powell moves into the top spot with 24 #1 votes.        Five different teams actually got #1 votes this week.  Buffalo is now second with Green River third,  unbeaten Lander is fourth and Douglas falls to fifth despite winning their second in a row.

4A is the exact same as a week ago.  Natrona is unanimous at #1 with all 26 votes.  They are followed by Gillette,  Sheridan, East, and Evanston.

For the first time since Wyopreps has been doing football rankings, the Shoshoni Wranglers are in the top five.   Off to a three and oh start, the Wranglers rank #5 this week.  Shoshoni will get their next big test with a road trip to Lincoln County to face #2 Cokeville.  Shoshoni's first three opponents are a combined 3 and 6.

Lingle and Rocky Dropped after losing last Friday.  Pine Bluffs is now fourth.   Southeast Cokeville and Lusk remain 1-2-3.    Pine Bluffs will get their biggest test of the season by far when they host #1 Southeast Friday night.  PB's first three opponents are a combined 1 and 8.  The Hornets have shut out those  first three opponents as well.

2A has lovell with 2 of 26 top votes at #1   Glenrock is #2 with Greybull third.  Lyman fell to fourth while Mountain View debuts on the charts at #5.

Six man football is the exact same as a week ago.  Snake River received all 19 #1 votes to stay on top with unbeaten Kaycee 2nd.  Then its Dubois, Hulett and Midwest.

Big Games this weekend  in 3A Buffalo hosting Douglas,  1A has #1 Southeast going to #4 Pine Bluffs while #5 Shoshoni is at #2 Cokeville.
