The Rock Springs Tigers rallied from 8 points down in the 2nd half to beat Cheyenne East 55-49 in overtime in round one of the State 4A Boys Tournament at Casper College on Thursday night.

Rock Springs outscored East 16-11 in the 4th quarter to force the extra session and then went on an 8-2 run in OT to win it.

Rock Springs shot 42% from the field and were paced by Kael Mikkelson and Kelby Kramer with 15 each.

Cheyenne East received 16 points from Erik Oliver and 10 each from Tanner Muchmore along with Nick Mirich.

The T-Birds at 12-14 on the year will move to the consolation round against Natrona at 1:30 in Friday at the Events Center.

Rock Springs improves to 15-7 and will face Gillette in the 4A semi-finals on Friday at 9pm.
