Trevor Hautala hit a 4 footer with :08 seconds to go to lift Rock Springs to a 56-55 win over Gillette in the 4A semi-finals at the Casper Events Center on Friday night.

After Hautala's bucket, Gillettes Trey Hladky had his shot blocked as time expired giving the Tigers a chance to win their first state title in boys basketball since 1976.

Rock Springs got 18 points from Hautula and 12 points from Kelby Kramer.

Gillette, who hit 15, 3 pointers in their 1st round win over Natrona on Thursday, went 8-33 from beyond the arc in this semi-final.

Hladky had a tremendous game with 29 points with Dawson Miessler contributing 11.

Rock Springs will play Kelly Walsh for the 4A title on Saturday night about 8:45 at the Events Center.

Gillette meets Sheridan for 3rd place at 3pm on Saturday at Casper College.
