4A:

Since the Championships have been in Laramie, Natrona has been there three times and Sheridan twice. East and Gillette have also been to The War. Both games are rematches in which both of this weekend's HOME teams won by two touchdowns or more. Gillette hopes to be hitting their stride with their QB back while Sheridan hopes to dent the scoreboard and then some against Natrona.

Natrona 27 Sheridan  0

Gillette 34 Cheyenne East 31 - 2OT

3A:

Riverton hasn't been to the Championship game since they won their third in a row in 1999 under Don Julian. Torrington hasn't been to a title game since 1998. The Blazers last WON a state title in 1990. Cody went to Laramie in 2009, the first year they were held at UW. Cody hasn't won a title since 1991. Douglas won three in a row, before Powell reeled off the last three. The Bearcats are 54 and 9 since 2008. They have been in 5 of the last six 3A championships.

Cody 42 Riverton 34

Douglas 27 Torrington 0

2A:

Big Horn rides a 17 game winning streak into the semis as the defending 2A Champion. Mountain View was in Laramie a year ago but hasn't won a football title since 1997. Wheatland and Newcastle have one title between them. Wheatland won theirs in '84 while the Dogies' best shot came in 1981 when they were runners up to Jackson.

Big Horn 28 Wheatland 21

Mountain View 52 Newcastle 14

1A:

Lingle-Ft. Laramie played in the first state championship in Laramie back in 2009. Remember the blizzard with Southeast on a Friday afternoon? The Doggers haven't won a title as an 11 man team. They did win in 1990 in 9-Man Football. Cokeville is...well...Cokeville. The Panthers have been to Laramie 3 times and won all three. Lusk is getting ever so close to the Panthers having finished runner up twice in Laramie, last year by 1 point. Upton/Sundance is as far as they've ever been in the short history of their schools combining for football. It's interesting that the last football title each school won was in the same year. Upton in 1A in 2005 and Sundance in 2A. The Bulldogs did beat the Bobcats that year.

Cokeville 36 Lingle-Fort Laramie 7

Lusk 44 Upton-Sundance 12

6-Man:

The five titles that have been handed out in Laramie are divided up between the four remaining semi-finalists. Guernsey-Sunrise won the first, then Little Snake River twice, then Dubois and last year Meeteetse. They all battle it out to get back to War Memorial. With the Dubois win, the Rams are in the championship game for the 3rd time in the last 4 years.

Dubois 68 Meeteetse 32

Guernsey-Sunrise 72 Little Snake River 40
