State Girls Swimming 2014
It's time for the ladies of the swimming pool to have their opportunity to win a state title.
The 2014 Girls Swimming State Meet will be held from Thursday, October 30th through Saturday, November 1st, at the Aquatic Center in Gillette.
Each class have a preliminary competition, and the finalists in each event come back the next day, for one more competition to determine the individual state champ.
4A: Gillette repeats as 4A State Champs and have won 9 of the last 10. The Lady Camels easily outdistanced runner up Laramie, 350-236.5.
Illiana Jones of Kelly Walsh set a new 4A State Record in the 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1 minute 51.30 seconds. The old record was 1:51.53. She also set a new 4A State Record in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 50.37 seconds. The old record was 50.50.

3A: Jackson 3-peats as state champs and have now won 9 of the last 11. The Lady Broncs almost had double the points, of runner-up Powell, 328-166.
