State golf played Friday and Saturday for 3A while the other two divisions played on Monday and Tuesday.

3A golfed at the Buffalo Golf Club.  While 2A and 4A golf were moved back to Monday,  3A was shortened to a one day, 18 hole event on Saturday.  Carson Walker of Star Valley picked a good day to play his best golf of the fall and won the boy’s event with a 70.  He finished fifth overall a year ago.  Cody’s Sydney Gunn shot an 80 to win the girl’s title.  She finished 2nd last year.   Team wise, the Lander boys won their first title since 2007 they held off jackson by 2 strokes.   The Buffalo girls won their first title since 2006 as they won by 14 strokes.

4A played in a strong wind on Monday, then a great day on Tuesday.  Riverton Freshman Easton Paxton had a five stroke lead after day one.  He then ran away from the field winning the event by 11 strokes.  East's Quintin Pope was second.  The RHS boys held off the East Thunderbirds by a single stroke to win their first ever Boys Golf State Championship.   In the girl's division, Kalle Lunsford of Evanston won by six strokes.   There was a tie between the two Casper schools for the team title.   The Natrona girls beat the Kelly girls on the first hole of their team playoff to be State Champions.

2A went down at the Devil's Tower Course near Sundance.    Lusk's Denton Shaw has been 2nd the last two years. Not this year.   The Tiger held of Wright's Dallas Millin by two strokes to claim the state title.    Sundance's Kacie O'Connor was a favorite on the girl's side on her home course.    She was sixth as a Freshman, third as a Sophomore, was the 2A runner up last year and now 2A State Champion as a Senior.   Kacie shot a two day 172 to win by 42 strokes.      Wright would win the boy's team title while the Lusk girls were champions.
