It will be a homecoming of sorts for a former Campbell County HS Camel...even if it's in a different part of the state.

Taran Brown, a player for the University of Cal-Santa Barbara, is scheduled to be in Laramie on December 21st, as the Gauchos play the Univ. of Wyoming Cowboys, as part of the 2012-2013 season.

He is a 2011 graduate from Campbell County High School in Gillette, where he set the school records for career points (1,175), career field goals (453), career rebounds (540), career blocked shots (148), rebounds in a season (248) and field goals made in a season (215)...all while being named the Wyoming Gatorade Player of the Year and a McDonald's All-American.

Brown red-shirted last basketball season, so this will be his freshman season with UCSB.

UW will play at UCSB on November 28th, so the game in December will be the return trip of a home-and-home series.
