There's a little bit of change, a little bit of replacement and a little bit of shuffling in the latest top 5 coaches/media volleyball poll.

After sweeping #2 East and #5 Central last week at home, Gillette is the unanimous choice for #1. East and Central stay put, while Evanston takes the #3 spot away from Kelly Walsh, bumping the Lady Trojans down to #4. 10 of the 12 4A teams will compete at the Casper Invitational this weekend. Only Evanston and South will not participate.

The 3A poll received the most participation from coaches and media. Douglas and Star Valley hold on to their #1 and #2 spots comfortably. The Lady Bearcats will play in the Casper Invite, while SV will entertain Lyman this weekend. Last week, Powell went 3-0 on the road vs. conference foes, including pulling off a sweep at former #3 Cody. As a result, the Lady Panthers are the new #3 team. Glenrock holds at #4 and Torrington is new at #5, although the Lady TrailBlazers just got swept at home by #1 Douglas.

Unlike 4A and 3A, the lower class teams did not get as many votes.

Shoshoni, Southeast and Kemmerer are still #1, #2 and #3 in the 2A ranks. The Lady Blue will get tested this Friday, when they visit the Lady Rangers. Burns makes their debut at #4, and Wright is #5. The Lady Panthers play a key game Friday, when they host Tongue River, who was ranked last week.

Little Snake River remains on top of the 1A ranks. Cokeville moves up to #2, while pushing Lingle-Ft. Laramie to #3. Cokeville will play twice on Friday, at Farson-Eden and at Big Piney. Dubois and Burlington are tied for the #4 ranking, and will hook up this Saturday in Burlington.
