Basketball Peak Preps

There are always great performances on the hardwood around the state.  Each week we’ll highlight some of them!

 

 

 

Last Week’s Highlights:

 POINTS:   Lovell’s Cody Savage scored 31 in a win over Wyoming Indian Saturday.   Meeteetse’s Seth Bennett scored 28 against Dubois.  For the girls, Shoshoni’s Olivia Thompson dumped in 27 vs Riverside while Cody’s Laurel Place scored 26.

3 Pointers:   Parker Browning of Natrona was 6-8 vs Rock Springs while Buffalo’s Trey Schroefel, a Freshman, hit 5 of 7 in a 4 point win over Douglas.    Quintin Pope of East was 5 for 9.    Shanda Post of Lander hit 4 of 5 while Kalli Federsen of Rawlins was 4 of 7.

Free Throws:    Michayla Miller of Ten Sleep hit 14 of 19 ft’s against Hulett.  Clint Getzfried of Riverside was 12 of 16 vs Shoshoni.   Stephanie Dickinson of South was 10 of 13 against Laramie.

Rebounds:   Haley Clark of HEM pulled down 24 boards against Saratoga, 12 on each end of the floor. Laurel Place of Cody had 20 boards vs. Lander.  Corey McCallister of Rock River grabbed 19 in the Longhorn’s upset of #4 Encampment.   Stephanie Dickinson of South had 17 as did Riverton’s Kiley Ridgway and Shoshoni’s Josh Thoren.

Assists: Alek Johnson of Evanston led the state with 11 assists last weekend.   For the girls, Shanda Post of Lander and Kalli Federsen each had 7.

Steals:   Shoshoni’s Olivia Thompson had 10 steals vs. Riverside.  Shelby Nicholson of Burlington had 9.   Lyman’s Cisco Taylor had 7 steals.
