The third edition of the Wyopreps.com Coaches and Media Boys Basketball poll has very little changes from a week ago.

With that said, there are two, new #1's in the mix, however. Lovell and Star Valley take over the tops of their divisions. Lovell's win over previous #1 Wyoming Indian has the Bulldogs on top of 2A this week. They received 21 of the 22 top ballots to rank #1. The Chiefs drop to #2 this week followed by Lusk who moves up 2 spots.  Burns and Big Horn round out the top five. In the big game department this week, #2 Wyoming Indian is at #5 Big Horn on Saturday while #3 Lusk goes to #4 Burns.

In 3A, Star Valley took advantage of Buffalo's loss to #2 4A Riverton a week ago to take back over the #1 ranking. The Braves collected 17 of the 24 #1 votes. Buffalo got 6 and ranks second. Lyman took the other top ballot and is #3. Rawlins and now Torrington round out the top five. The Blazers out Wheatland from the last spot on the poll. Seven other teams received votes in 3A this week.  #1 Star Valley will take on #1 4A Gillette Thursday to help kick off the Flaming Gorge Classic in Sweetwater County. #3 Lyman will take on #5 Torrington Friday night in Lander.

Those top ranked Camels may have the hardest weekend of any team ahead of them.  After they face #1 3A Star Valley Thursday, they then play #2 4A Riverton on Friday. The Camels end the weekend in a rematch of the double overtime state championship contest with #5 Evanston. Gillette took 13 of the 17 #1 votes despite suffering their first loss to Scottsbluff, Nebraska, the top ranked Class B team in the Husker state. Riverton took 3 top votes and are second. Laramie got the other and is third followed by Natrona and Evanston. Only KW and East also got votes this week.

1A has Burlington on top for a third straight week. The Huskies were one vote short of being a unanimous choice with Ten Sleep getting the other. Little Snake River remains third as well as Cokeville and Encampment going 4 and 5 again. Of the 10 teams that got votes in 1A this week, 7 are from the West including the top five.
