After nearly two full seasons, there is a new #1 atop the 6 man football rankings.

The Dubois Rams halted a 23 game win streak by two time defending six man champion Little Snake River last Friday. As a result, the Rams are the new #1 in 6-Man football. DHS took 18 of the 20 top votes. Little Snake River got one of the other two with Kaycee getting one. The Rattlers then took 10 #2 votes to out point Kaycee for 2nd, the Buckaroos are third.  Midwest is fourth with Guerney-Sunrise now in the polls at #5, pushing Meeteetse out of the rankings. The #5th ranked Vikings will see how Little Snake River bounces back when they host the #2 Rattlers on Saturday.

4A has a new team in the ranks. Winners of their last two games by shutout, Kelly Walsh is ranked #5 this week. The Trojans will have their mettle tested in the next two weeks. They are off to #2 Gillette this weekend, then host #1 Natrona in the Oil Bowl next Saturday. NC is still number one with 23 of the 25 top votes. Gillette got the other two top ballots and is 2nd.  Sheridan moves back to third pushing East to fourth.

3A saw a little rearranging in the polls, but no real changes while 2A and 1A were the exact same polls as a week ago. In 3A, Powell received 25 of the 26 top votes and is #1 again this week. Douglas took the other vote and is 2nd. Star Valley is now third followed by Green River and Buffalo. Four of the top five teams in 3A play each other this week. #2 Douglas goes to #3 Star Valley while #4 Green River is on the road to #5 Buffalo. Powell hosts Torrington. This is the final weekend of non conference play for 3A teams.

2A keeps Lovell on top with 20 of 25 #1 votes. Lyman, this week's Bulldog opponent, got the other five. #2 Lyman will host Lovell in their third meeting in a year Friday afternoon. The rest of the ranks is the same as last week with Glenrock, Newcastle, and Big Horn rounding out the top five.

1A is a replica of last week. Cokeville is #1 with 18 of 20 #1's. Lusk got the other two and rank 2nd. The Tigers will host #3 Southeast in a game with big East conference implications, yes, even in Week 3.  Shoshoni is #4 with Pine Bluffs #5.
