The high school state football championships will return to Laramie for the next 3 seasons.

Although Sheridan's proposal was better financially, according to Ron Laird (WHSAA Commissioner), the board felt that the University experience, and a chance for the players to finish their football season, on the same field where the big boys play, was what won out. A vote count was not kept on the decision, however the board felt (and wyopreps was in attendance to confirm), that the vote was not even close.

Sheridan proposal was to provide the WHSAA with 90% of the gate total plus $10K each year, while UW's proposal was 75% of the gate total and increase ticket prices by $1.

Among other actions by the board:

4-way tie-breaker rules were adopted. In most cases, the head-to-head record of the tied teams in the group vs. each other.

The board will allow live web-video streaming of the wrestling semi-finals and championships, along with the basketball championship games.

2012 State Golf to be held in Laramie (4A), Worland (3A), and Lovell (2A).

Defeated the motion to move the statewide scheduling meeting, to the week after the state football championships. Currently, it is held during the week of the state football championships.
