Activities director Tom Wilson announced Friday a replacement for their boy's basketball position.

Dan LaRose from Cody will take over the program following the resignation of longtime coach Rick Carroll. LaRose is currently an elementary teacher in the Cody school district.

 

LaRose, originally from Nebraska, has coached basketball for 13 years, both at the collegiate level and the high school level in Wyoming and Nebraska. LaRose spent five years as the head coach at Burlington High School, leading the Huskies to a state championship and two second place finishes. In his five years in Burlington, the Huskies were 113 and 18. Burlington won five straight conference championships and LaRose was the state basketball coach of the year in 2006. LaRose, from Bellevue Nebraska, played college ball at Peru State College in Peru Nebraska.

 

LaRose will be the principal at Granger School and the district’s Student Support Coordinator.
